One of the best kept secrets in the music industry is the origin of all the biggest hits of country radio in the 90’s. From Alan Jackson to Garth Brooks, Brooks & Dunn to John Michael Montgomery, almost all their biggest hits were written by a group of young musical prodigies working out of their parents’ garages in Lufkin, Texas.
They were well-paid for their work, and silence, for almost two decades. Their very existence remained a seldom heard, and easily dismissed, rumor. But as time went on, the music industry changed and record sales declined, and the now aging members of this secret super group found their residual checks bouncing, and their bank accounts running dry. So now, for the first time ever, they’ve decided to break their silence and perform all those beloved hits, live and in person, as Straight Tequila Night.
